Are you a seasoned hospitality professional with a passion for the African wilderness?
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Camp Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a luxury safari camp deep within the pristine Okavango Delta.
As the Camp Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring seamless camp operations that reflect the high standards of Botswana’s premium eco-tourism.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of camp operations including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and staff coordination
- Ensure delivery of world-class guest experiences, maintaining a high standard of service and hospitality
- Manage logistics and stock control, including ordering and procurement of supplies
- Lead and mentor a team of local and international staff
- Handle guest feedback and conflict resolution with professionalism and care
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Liaise with head office and contribute to strategic planning for camp improvements
Qualifications
- 3–5 years+ experience in a similar role in remote/luxury safari settings
- Strong leadership skills and a hands-on, practical approach to problem solving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Deep appreciation for nature, wildlife, and eco-conscious living
- Must be willing to live and work in remote locations for extended periods
- Familiarity with Botswana’s tourism industry and culture is highly advantageous
